Vijayaditya (696–733 CE) follows his father, Vinayaditya on to the Chalukya throne.
His long reign is marked by general peace and prosperity.
Vijayaditya also builds a number of temples.
He fights against the Pallavas and extracts tributes from Parameshwar Varma V. The Alupas of South Canara, who are loyal to the Chalukyas and led by Alupa Chitravahana, brother-in-law of Vijayaditya, defeat a Pandyan invasion of Mangalore in 705.
Vijayaditya is succeeded by his son Vikramaditya II in 733.
