William Le Baron Jenney (25 September 1832—14 June 1907) is an American architect and engineer who is known for building the first skyscraper in 1884 and becomes known as the Father of the American skyscraper.
In 1998, Jenney is ranked number 89 in the book 1,000 Years, 1,000 People: Ranking the Men and Women Who Shaped the Millennium.
