The Berbice Slave Uprising is a slave revolt in Guyana that begins on February 23, 1763 and lasts into 1764.
It is seen as a major event in Guyana's anti-colonial struggles, and when Guyana becomes a republic in 1970 the state declares February 23 as a day to commemorate the start of the Berbice slave revolt.
