1657 CE to 1658 CE
The Dano-Swedish War 1657-1658 is a war between Sweden and Denmark.
In 1657 Charles X of Sweden and his Swedish army are bogged down in Poland.
Frederick III sees this as an opportunity to recover the territories lost to Sweden in 1645 and attacks Scania.
The outbreak of war with Denmark provides Charles with an excuse to withdraw from the Polish campaign and move against Denmark.
