Mithridatic War, Third

Subject Conflict 74 BCE – 65 BCE

After the Romans, led by Lucius Licinius Lucullus (75 to 66 BCE) then by Gnaeus Pompeius Magnus (66 to 63 BCE), win the Third Mithridatic War, Mithridates commits suicide, ending the menace of Pontus and enabling the Roman conquest of the Armenian kingdom.
