…against Barcelona.
A naval and land siege lasts from November 1471 to October 16, 1472.
By the Capitulation of Pedralbes, Barcelona surrenders to John and a general pardon is granted.
The Count of Pallars, however, is not pardoned.
The acts of the Consell and the other organs of Catalan government since the death of Charles of Viana are approved and John swears to uphold the Constitucions.
The Capitulation of Vilafranca, is rejected, however Over the past decade, the peasants, under the leadership of Verntallat des d'Hostoles, had fought mainly in the mountainous interior, while the king and the more traditional armed forces loyal to him had fought nearer the Mediterranean coast.
After ten years, John has won the war, but fails to abolish serfdom or even to bring about significant reforms.
