Many captives that had been taken to…
October 1757 CE
A small British fleet had left Quebec on September 27, carrying paroled or exchanged prisoners taken in a variety of actions, including those at Fort William Henry and Oswego.
When the fleet arrives at Halifax, about three hundred people captured at Fort William Henry are returned to the colonies.
The fleet continues to Europe, where a few more former captives will be released; some of these also will eventually return to the colonies.
