New England launches a campaign to end…
July 1722 CE
New England launches a campaign to end the blockade of Annapolis Royal at the end of July 1722, and retrieves over eighty-six New England prisoners taken by the natives.
One of these operations results in the Battle at Winnepang (Jeddore Harbour), in which thirty-five natives and five New Englanders are killed.
Only five native bodies are recovered from the battle.
The New Englanders decapitate the corpses and set the severed heads on pikes surrounding Canso's new fort.
