October 1948 CE
The Arab fighters had withdrawn on October 26; five days later, Jewish militants attack the town to avenge the residents' support of Arab resistance forces.
Disguised in traditional Arab attire, the Israelis enter to cheering residents, who wrongly believe the Arab volunteer fighters have returned.
The militants round up eighty-five people and detain them in a number of houses, killing all but three, then blow up the houses.
