Farrokh Hormizd is a Spahbed (commander) in northern Persia, and a prince of Atropatene.
He later comes in conflict with the Sassanid nobles, dividing the resources of the country.
He is later killed in a palace plot by the orders of Queen Azarmidokht.
Heis also the father of Rostam Farrokhzād and Khurrazad.
