Hartley Coleridge

David Hartley Coleridge (September 19, 1796 – January 6, 1849) is an English poet, biographer, essayist, and teacher.

He is the eldest son of the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge.

His sister Sara Coleridge is a poet and translator, and his brother Derwent Coleridge is a distinguished scholar and author.

Hartley is named after the philosopher David Hartley.
