Lautaro (Mapudungun: Lef-Traru Speedy Southern Caracara) is a Mapuche military leader and protagonist of the War of Arauco in Chile.

He defeats and exterminates the Spanish forces of Governor Pedro de Valdivia and is almost able to expel them from the area when he is killed in battle.
