Li Keyong

Shatuo military governor of the Chinese Tang Dynasty

856 CE to 908 CE

Li Keyong (October 24, 856 – February 23, 908) is a Shatuo military governor (Jiedushi) during the late Tang Dynasty and is key to developing a base of power for the Shatuo in what is today Shanxi Province in China.

His son, Li Cunxu (Emperor Zhuangzong) will eventually became the founder of the Later Tang Dynasty, arguably the first of many Conquest Dynasties in China.
