Ludwig I (February 9, 1763 – March 30, 1830) succeeds as Grand Duke of Baden on December 8, 1818.

He is the uncle of his predecessor Karl Ludwig Friedrich, and his death marks the end of the Zähringen line of the House of Baden.

He is succeeded by his half brother, Leopold.
