Nicolaas van Staphorst (bapt. January 14, 1742, Amsterdam – bur. June 14, 1801, Amsterdam) is a Dutch banker and a conservative republican.

Up until 1794 he is involved in a total of eleven loans that are granted in Amsterdam to the United States with a value of twenty-nine million guilders, and in the Holland Land Company.
