Vicente Cerna y Cerna (January 22, 1815 – June 27, 1885) is president of Guatemala from May 24, 1865 to June 29, 1871.
A loyal friend and comrade of Rafael Carrera, he is appointed army's Field Marshal after Carrera's victory against Salvadorian leader Gerardo Barrios in 1863.
He is appointed Carrera's successor after the caudillo's death in 1865 even though Guatemalan leaders prefers\ Field Marshal José Víctor Zavala.
After the presidential elections of 1869 that Cerna wins over liberal candidate Zavala, there ae severe fraud accusations, and from this point on Cerna's presidency is marred by constant uprising until he is eventually ousted by the liberal leaders Miguel Garcia Granados and Justo Rufino Barrios on June 30, 1871.
