1575 CE – 1576 CE
Three months after Henry of Anjou's coronation as King of Poland, his brother Charles IX dies (May 1574).
Henri secretly leaves Poland and returns via Venice to France, where he is crowned King Henry III in 1575, at Rheims, but hostilities – the Fifth War of Religion – have already flared up again.
