Most of the Romagna is in French…
May 1511 CE
Most of the Romagna is in French hands by June 1511; the Papal army, disorganized and underpaid, is in no condition to prevent Trivulzio from advancing on Ravenna.
In response to this debacle, Julius proclaims a Holy League of Italian states (including Venice, a recent papal enemy during the War of the League of Cambrai), Swiss cantons, and Spain to evict the French presence from northern Italy.
