Isidore Auguste Marie François Xavier Comte (19 February 1798 – 5 September 1857), better Eugène-Melchior Péligot (1811, Paris - 1890, Paris), also known as Eugène Péligot, is a French chemist who isolates the first sample of uranium metal in 1841.
