Thomas Percy

(Pilgrimage of Grace)

1533 CE to 1603 CE

Sir Thomas Percy (c. 1504–2 June 1537) is a participant in the 1537 Bigod's Rebellion in the aftermath of the Pilgrimage of Grace, a Roman Catholic uprising against King Henry VIII.

He is convicted of treason and hanged, drawn and quartered at Tyburn.

The Catholic Encyclopedia (1913) states that he "is considered a martyr by many".
